Description
10 Year Aged White Cheddar 1 lb Heritage: Prior to 1850, nearly all the cheese produced in the United States was Cheddar. Cheddar production in Wisconsin began in the mid 1800’s and by 1880, more Cheddar was produced in Wisconsin than any other cheese variety. Today it accounts for a large percentage of the cheese made in the state, which makes Wisconsin the leader in U.S. Cheddar production. Description: Rich, nutty flavor becomes increasingly sharp with age. Smooth, firm texture becomes more granular and crumbly with age. Usually golden; also available white. Slice for sandwiches, snacks; shred into casseroles, soups, sauces.

My father has been on an aged cheese trying spree. He is always looking for aged cheddar so I got this and a few other cheeses from Widmer for his birthday. I sadly did not get to try it being far away but he said “Boy! That’s some fabulous cheese!” Thanks Widmer’s Cheese Cellars for having such an excellent product and making him love his gift!

I thought it might be too much, but for me I like it, I just can’t eat as much at one sitting as the 6 year. My wife thought it was too sharp and preferred 6 year. I like your cheese so much I don’t use crackers, I just eat it in thin little slices or crumbles.

Nice bite, complex flavor. Not a rat cheese.
